You can probably compensate for the Q factor with the position of the cleats.

Its 148mm 12mm and front 110mm 15mm.

To clarify, the 650b version take a road TA; 142mm 12mm and 100mm 12mm.

(This is why I opt for 29ers).

With bike like that, Q factor isn’t really an issues, or just fit the narrowest square taper 73mm BB and crank.

Thought Q factor didnt change on shimano mtb boost cranks, just the ring moves 3mm out?

Just checked. It increases from 175 to 176mm, M785 to M8000-b.

Tempted to get the 650b as I can change end caps on my existing bitex wheelsets. £200 for framset is cheap

Id go 29er, but paying that extra £125 hurts when its £200 for 650b

Why 29er over 650b? I already have a spare 650b wheelset and tyres

That why I opt for full bike, as both 650b and 29ers cost the same (apex build).

The geometry work really well as a gravel bike with 40-70mm stem.

Was more thinking of going from road to Mtb.

Wish you could put mudguards on this(?). Would be a great commuter.

You kinda can, star nut under fork, use the lower 3 bolt mount, drill a hole on the flat plate of the chain stay and seat stay,

650b, wide rims and 2.6 magic Mary fit.

650b 2.8 on the rear fit too on the 29ers version much to my surprise.
