My girlfriend has one of these & it fits a 42mm tyre, so not too bad clearancewise.
Edit: seeing other comments, can't comment on the original build as I just got handed a frame.

The Triban is £720 with 105, so just over half the price of the Ribble... seems like a no brainer.
Maybe I am biased, as I ride a Triban, and its coped perfectly with anything that I have thrown at it...
