Too late to reply? I've been a few places over there, which side/anywhere specifically?

Ah, well, slight change of plans. Still going to Mexico but not going to be traveling around at all.
Basically going to Cabo San Lucas for just under a week and will probably just try to hire a bike from San José del Cabo (where the airport is near) and then ride around and ride down to Cabo San Lucas. It's a resort town so I doubt there's much "sick riding" but flogging a hire bike along the beach isn't going to be too miserable :)

Anyone got the latest Mexico tips?
Don't book a flight there right before a global pandemic is my hot tip.

Hahaha.. yeah..

Arrive in Cancun about an hour before check-in time.

The Cenotes are genuinely incredible. You need good sunlight if diving the pit, but dos ojos is very cool too and can be done with snorkels

Went Oaxaca, Mazunte, Puerto Escondido, Mexico City earlier this year.
I wouldn’t say any of them were ‘musts’ but I enjoyed my trip, few chill days on the beach in Mazunte was great.
Oaxaca wasn’t as exciting as I hoped it would be. Almost felt a bit sleepy when I was there. Nice but I wouldn’t stay long.

I really hope you went to the beach bar in Manzunte, feels like the last days of Rome after midnight.

Ha, I fear I may have missed this. I sniffed out a few late drinks and there was one basic bar with a dj setup under a massive tree which was great, but never found anywhere that was particularly out of the ordinary…

This place.
Was pretty chilled until about midnight when things changed and young men in loin clothes defended from the rafters (literally).
The second night we went the bar guy was like "you guys again!?!" and dished out a bunch of free drinks, assume that was for good reasons.

Haha we're not package holiday people so it is just an exit point rather than a base.

Thanks for everyone's thoughts. Keep it coming, I have nothing other than flights booked yet.
Looks like I might be heading here next year. What's up with Mexico?
