I'm looking for a full frame bag to suit my Soma Wolverine. Does anyone have a suggestion? is custom the best option?

Here's a tip. I installed yesterday IKEA's Pleja basket to my girlfriend's bike that suits really well for Restrap's Wald 137 bag. I reckon the basket and rack combo weighs in total slightly less than 500 grams.

I have found ortlieb to be my first choice;
fully waterproof - to the point my daughter uses it in the bath as a boat etc.
Not ludicrously expensive
5 year warranty
Good fitting / straps etc

I haven't seen before any racks being mounted through headset. So custom I reckon. How about BLB's flat rack?

Anyone selling one of these racks that came on Pinnacle completes? Also looking for a similar sort of basket rack if anyone can recommend something.

My better half has put her back out carrying her laptop and associated bits and pieces in a messenger bag.
Her commute is 10 minute walk, 30 minute train and 10 minute cycle.
We are looking for a combo bag. Rucksack for the walking bit and pannier for the cycling bit. There’s an additional need for wheels as she occasional has to work elsewhere with lists of papers and stuff.
Any ideas ? Or are the wheels a step too far -

Ortlieb do a pannier to back pack converter; no wheels though!

These are sold alone on Evans! £60 though

This seems like a good idea for a bike locked outside a lot, how have you attached it, do you have any better pictures?

Decathlon do this odd trolley bag pannier thing. No way to use it as a backpack though.

Not at the moment, basically basket is attached with cable ties to this mini rack that many shops sell (SJS, Bike24 etc). I think mine is Cube RFR Rack. If you wanted it to be more theft proof I would secure the basket with a holed plate and screws into the rack. So basically this combo costs 20+10 euros.
EDIT: actually I found another pic:

Pinnacle Arkose panniers racks - What are people using?
After something simple in design like a TorTec Ultralite, ~180mm spacing between mounts and clearance for big tyres, 47c.

i tried to search in the forum but nothing came up, did anyone try this wizard works basket bag?
https://wizard.works/collections/featured-products/products/alakazami'm using a mash front rack with a mash/ile rack bag and i like it very much but sometimes a bag which holds better would be better. so i started to look for basket bags and that wizard works alakazam looks nice. it's a uk company so you probably know more about him than me.
other bags i found: restrap, porcelain rocket, troutmoose, dark realm
edit: it's for a commuter bike, not gravel, not bikepacking, just the usual everyday stuff

I bought one of them from Harry and I'm super happy with it. I use it for daily commuting, going shopping at the weekend and transporting my little dog with me and it's perfect. I researched this type of bag for quite a while and had a look at all the other option on your list but none gave me the below combination in one package:
- Expandable
- Secure
- Padded at the bottom
- Weather-proof
- Made in the UK
- Shoulder strap
The bag is super well made and has lots of nice little details to it
- Expandable

thanks for your input! it's funny i think i just found your comment on one of the posts of his instagram. which size did you buy? 137 or 139? i'm thinking about the 139 but it's probably too big for an average day.
-
• #596
I went for 137 and so far haven't needed more. When extended with the extra straps it's enormous! Having said that, when extended the contents aren't protected from the elements

thanks man, your comments were very useful to decide! i sent a message to Harry, we're discussing colors and fabrics already.

I went with 139, like it for bigger shopping and probably the biggest plus for me is that 15.6'' notebook in case fits inside, useful for my commuting.

Is the distance between the two horizontal rails on pannier racks pretty much the same to fit most bags? (Vertical distance between the tube which a bag hooks onto and the lower tube which some bags have another hook to secure to)
And what is that distance? -

I know there's some racks (e.g. Tortec Velocity) that lean in, so the distance between horizontal rails won't be the same for all racks. However, your bit in brackets makes me think you mean a different thing... A diagram maybe?
Does that have a little pocket for bits?
