The bolt covers (so either AbsoluteBlack or Osymetric) are not directly compatible with Doval chainrings as effectively you fit they the "other way around".
Doval recommends that you standard double chainring bolts that fit like they do on a classic chainset. The female-threaded “outer” part has a standard external diameter of 10mm while "inner" part is a male-threaded M8x0.75mm.
This means that the outer chainring has lips onto which the bolt would sit on so that lip would need to be removed to fit.
Hopefully photos will make more sense. I used a dremmel type tool and it took 5 minutes all in.
