That's 3 drinks here!

Just one and a half cups in my kitchen!

Mine are about 125mm, but that's moka.

I tend to brew 20g beans to 400ml water for myself, makes 2 cups.

25g of beans to 260ml water in a V60 for me. I only have one coffee a day but that's quite a hit in one cup. If I don't have the one cup of coffee by 11:30am I get a headache.
No, you're addicted..

30 to 500 for me. I should add I only do this once a week on a Sunday. I normally do 13 to 200 in an Aeropress once a day. Or twice when I'm tired.

Starting to think I make VERY strong coffee. Someone else own up to 20g+ in one cup and make me feel better?! Haha.
-
• #16734
That is pretty strong by any objective measures I think!
If you are using quite a coarse grind though, could come out similar to a lower amount which would have longer extraction - I'd try 16ml of water per g of coffee and make your grind a bit finer, see if you can get similar taste but make the coffee go further

I just follow the stock James Hoffman French press method (from his book, 75 g/L) and thus my morning routine consists of 35g of coffee for 467mL of water. Doesn't feel particularly strong but then it's a French press and we've been talking about v60 so far?

14g for 125ml moka pot
-
• #16737
Excellent advice, I do grind a bit course for V60. I'll try finer, it would be good to get through beans slower.

good to get through beans slower.
At 9g per day (brewed with 150ml water in rivers dripper fwiw) my beans last what seems like forever in comparison to my 30g+ per day days.
I feel better too.

20g for a 300ml cafetiere - every morning. That is one cup for me. Sometimes I make 2.

This is the answer I wanted. 😆

I am here to enable you.

A 17g espresso in the morning followed by 2 16g aeropresses during the day. The odd time I'll add an americano from the local cafe but can get a bit twitchy on those occasions!

You’re all weak.
Up to a litre of filter in the morning (if wfh), followed by a minimum of 2 doubles through the day.
Or up to 4 doubles for an on call day (no morning litre but up to 16hrs at work).
Or 3-4doubles (if available) or a near infinite amount of shit nhs coffee for a night shift. -

This is a very effective way of increasing the feel-good aspect of a power nap.
Coffee straight before nap. Set alarm for 20-30mins.
Profit from a double whack of alertness when you wake up.
I can’t think how often I’ve used this trick. It was a mainstay of my student life and occasionally nowadays- but the number of shifts I get a nap in is very few.I have no evidence it is anything more than placebo, though.

Can confirm. Have done this many times when audaxing.

That theory at least, and the term 'napaccino' probably, have been around since the 90s

Nappucino. Good name.

I find a full porlex mini is enough to fill the basket in my moka pot, which is enough for two killer cups in the morning. New office has a reasonable bean to cup too so by lunchtime I'm basically a quivering wreck.

You’re all weak.
Since I got diagnosed with ADHD and got a proper prescription 7 years ago, I stopped drinking instant coffee every day at work and now just have a double espresso zero to two times a week.
You're an addict.

I've been caffeine intolerant for over 26yrs, now I have reflux that limits me to one decaf espresso a day... You're all junkies...
Classic is back together, surprisingly easy to reassemble... My local coffee place had the O rings in stock and they tested my solenoid to make sure it was working too! Great folks to have nearby... Flow is now outstanding, first shot was terrific, might have another shortly...

Yeah if I make 500ml of V60 and drink it to myself I’m totally wired.
