Saddle is a concer light? Needs a little clean due to the electric tape the seller used when picking it and it’s sitting on a Dura Ace 7400 (25mm)

Handlebars are some icon aluminium one (42cm)?
I’m thinking maybe changing them to some Nitto ones, black would be nice but leaning more towards a sliver set preferably in 40cm.

Campag Omega rims?

Thinking more Mavic cosmic first gen or potentially DA 7400 laced to Architype rims.

But before any new build starts I will need to do a little repair on the bike frame itself. Unfortunately the previous owner got the chain caught between the chainset and frame and caused a little minor damage for getting it out again. So I will need to strip this apart and take it to Carbon Repair London down in Surrey to get it properly fixed and resprayed around the BB, chain stay and drop out area of the bike.

First thing first I’ve already purchased some DA skewers to get rid of this red Kingsbery ones as I don’t think it suits the look of the bike.

You should get the wheels rebuilt with modern rims. Also if you lock this up anywhere I'll slap you

Reckon everyone will take turns slapping him if he locks this.
Also, I'd leave this as is without paint retouch. Just treat it to a proper rebuild and wax and update some parts like Sumo said.

it wont take wider rims + tyres.
just ride the 22mm tubs, the usage you are after, they will be fine, I can give you a decent free tub (need to check which one it is), carry Vittoria Pitstop plus Uber.

If she’d ever ridden that bike we’d know. They do look good on it though.

Already thinking about this already, don’t worry you’re not the only one said they’ll slap me if I lock this up too.
Anyone knows what’s the widest rim a set of DA 7400 brakes can take up to? I know I can fit a 23mm tyre.

Will need to change the current cassette at the back first, currently it has a 9 speed.
Need to revert back to a 8 speed.

First. Lol at the customs thing. Sure did make
me laugh. Second, genuine question, not a dig.I can’t imagine this bike was very cheap. Given you’re going to have to still pump some more money into it, why this bike? What boxes does it tick for you? It could crack, can’t take big tyres, has an old group set which is going to be totally alien to you given that you’ve had top end modern road bikes. Why didn’t you buy something custom if nothing off the peg appealed to you?

No offence taken.
I would have gone down that route and would have got something as I said like a top end cervelo or cannondale, but currently on the market there isn’t a bike makes me smile or lust for. Even custom bikes are nice but still nothing special IMO.
The cost wasn’t too bad, I got the whole bike for 1.1k, granted there is a few missing parts, but the condition of the bike and I guess another reason it’s a Look which fulfils my matchy matchy OCD at home too.

Plus not really going to take my bike off-road, if I can get a 23mm tyre on the bike that would be fine for club or social rides.
I do want to repair the minor chip/cracks around the BB aero profile area. Just for peace of mine and start fresh when I do service the bike.
The long term plan if I was going to upgrade the components would be DA7700 or even the new DA9100 which I think would look quite neat on this bike.
The wheelset that came with this bike was also the same period for this bike.
White industries Ti hubs (front and rear) laced to mavic tub times.
Quick release skewers are some brand called Kingsbery?
Rims are glued to continental sprinter 22mm
