Now, 4 frames in, i'm keen to upgrade my jig to something more capable. I'm interested to see if anyone would be keen to take my previous jig. I'm not looking for much money as It was a pointless endeavour and i should've just bought a proper jig from the beginning, i'm happy to wave goodbye to the money i sunk into building this, as a learning experience.
There's a lot to discuss about the jig with whoever would be taking it, probably best done over the phone or in person. It cost around £250-350 to build in materials and a lot of my time. i wont claim its a super capable or accurate jig, however i have built a number of frames on it with success.
It is perfect if you are either just looking to start out and keen to get into it with as little effort/money as possible. Or ideally someone could take it on as a project to strip down and build up from, but likely only possible to do a good job if you have significant experience machining and access to at least a lathe and mill.
pm me if your interested and we can chat about it, will upload some photos asap. Theres more info about it in my cp thread if you wanna know more, but ping me and q's and im sure i can answer
Im not keen to ship it for obvious reasons, i dont have a car so cant really drop it off anywhere. It could be disassembled to move it easier. With some dedication you could probably carry it for a while, but its not light, estimate 20kg ish. i live in chalk farm/belsize park area
