    Classic mistake. Should've been 5 feet, where there is less gravity.

  • Anecdotal stories are cool and all but the industry pretty much agrees that carbon degrades* slowly enough, especially when painted, that frames are likely to outlive a person. I can't see how under negligible force, a frame can crack itself unless it is extremely hot or routinely splashed with salt water.
