Well I'll be using my 1030 in TTs this year so maybe I'll get around to testing it against the thinner 1000 or the older, shorter 800 I used to use. I'd guess it'd be in the realm of noise.
I've been doing a lot of turbo recently and my setup is annoying me so I'll be changing the front-end somewhat anyway. It's setup for 24hr TTs so I don't really need the big light bar any more and the mount is an elevated one with more frontal area than I'd like. #csb
