My mate told me they've recently got a new landlord who he knew from a dog-friendly pub, so hopefully he's changed the policy. Previously, they were only allowed in the outside bit.

Reminds me of when I first moved to Gloucestershire. A local farmer had dropped in, he was late and his explanation was "Got held up down over" I nodded like I had a fucking clue what he was talking about.
It was months later that I realised there is a place called Over near me and his sentence had actually made sense.
