I have no idea as Ive never had experience of any of these builders. Didnt you have a ti frame built? Unless anyone has had bad expereinces with Burls I will probably push for him to be chosen. Where is justin based?

Suffolk I think.
I think you are being sensible by the way, having a UK based contact makes a lot of sense. I’ve not used Burls myself, but know plenty of people who have and am unaware of any issues, either with manufacture or customer experience.

Essex

Clacton-on-Sea to be precise. Which might as well be Suffolk given how far it is from civilisation.

It is in Essex though.

Burls' logo typeface though..

Not rude at all, all fully designed in house down to boss placement, tube profiles/bends etc and even a custom stem for the last one, but yeah, frame build is outsourced as we don't have tooling, TIG or experience for building in Ti. Finishing and bike build all done by us after. Kinda like Burls but not in the Russian factory, understand going with them as there's plenty of good rep behind them, but we've got to start somewhere so figured I'd mention it as an option. I think we've settled on fallen cycles as a brand name, not because I've fallen off so many.

How old is your dad? I might have to start planning ahead for my titanium life crisis
-

Interesting that a lot of ti frames are painted, I wonder why this is if apparently it’s a silly thing to do?

Everything okay?

Indeed.

Only 53. The titanium was on Scherrits recommendation, because he believes there are no otp frames that are 'perfect' geo (weird long legs)

Contact has been had with Burls. Deposit potentially being put down this week. Rough build plans are fairly standard: flat mount, thru axles, Ultegra hydro di2, bar end junction, shallow-ish carbon rims. I'm going to try to get it under 8kg and would also like recommendations for very secure bottle cages?

Got these in Ti. They are fab. Used for 5 years never a dropped bottle

Second that. Ti tubing is thicker than the stainless though. Both options have worked flawlessly for me.

Quarantine gave me some time to thoroughly clean my Van Nicholas Skeiron. Last update were the Zipp XPLR bars, big fan of those. Love this bike!

Can i send you my bike(s) for cleaning, too?
Based on that who would you (not) recommend?
