Purely to join in on the PowerPoint bashing, I recently wrote a business case in the organisation's approved template (Word).
My manager decided it wasn't snappy enough, and asked me to write a more concise version in PowerPoint with one slide per section.
By the time he'd added his twopennethworth, there were 12 slides for 5 sections, and the finance business partner asked for it to be submitted in Word format.
