  • Wow. There's a LOT of stuff here I haven't even heard of and some things I have that are fantastic.

My pending tray for music is overflowing!

    1. Foals - Everything Not Saved Will Be Lost Part 1 & 2.
Saw them live at House of Vans and they blew me away. Band of the year for me.
    2. Maribou State - Kingdoms in Colour Remixed

I'm sure there are more but most were released prior to 2019

  • Great list. Almost exactly the list I would have made if I wasn't so lazy about it

  • I also forgot the two 'The Comet Is Coming' albums 'Trust in the Lifeforce of the Deep Mystery' and 'The Afterlife'. :)

  • purple mountains

Yes; bought this after seeing the recommendation here. An interesting record, for sure.

  • Lana Del Ray - Norman Fucking Roxwel

Other half bought this. Yeah, i do like it.

  • Didn’t have time to do my best of the year list so I just chucked together a best of the decade instead

  • Smashing Pumpkins

I'm gonna listen to this, but I'm yet to be convinced as I wasn't really impressed with anything beyond Melancholy and the Infinite Sadness.

Fuck Buttons is definitely in my list, and that John Carpenter album is much better than umm Ghosts of Mars.

  • 1 Kate Tempest - Book of Traps and Lessons
2 Sleaford Mods - Eton Alive
3 Slowthai - Nothing Great About Britain

  • I’m a true believer so am completely obsessed with Adore and Machina, however even I’ll admit their 21st century output has been mediocre. Oceana is the highlight, just seems full of hooks and a bit of a return to the 90s.

  • Yeah Fuck Buts are brill, that last one is a heavier, swampier effort than Tarot Sport, think that’s probably it for them now one of them’s chucking albums out as Blanck Mass

  • Purple Mountains is on my list as loads of people are spunking hard over it. Need to give Eton Alive more goes, Kebab Spider is an ace song

  • What's the perception of The 1975 in UK? I don't care much for the first albums, bit they're last one was good and this new song the just put out is jangle perfection.

  • Inoffensive - derivative indie pop for 11-16yr olds and those 40+ who don’t know any better.

  • Exactly my suspicion.

  • X

  • For me the new Avalanches album has been the perfect antidote for a shitty year. I absolutely love it.

That and the Rose City Band.

  • In 2019 or 2020

I think the new one is good, it felt so familiar on second listen

  • Avalanches? The new one - 'We Will Always Love You'. It's just been released. It's ace.

EDIT: Ah. I understand. You were cleverly referencing the thread title. Gotcha.

  • The Ian Kirkpatrick tracks on Dua Lipa's album are really good.

And Kylie - Disco had a couple of decent cuts.
