  • Question: on the brushless motors, what do the KV and T numbers refer to? E.g on the old brushed motors, 17T referred to the number of turns of wire on the stator, but there’s no windings on the stator on a brushless motor.

  • It’s a measure of constant velocity and refers to the max rpm per volt at zero load.

    So a 5700kv motor will do 41,000rpm on a std rc car battery when unloaded

    T is an approximation to help comparison to brushed motors
