Hunts are 1.8kg, Hope are ~2.5kg, I’d need a very good reason to pick Hope

Go with the hunt wheels. Ride them as is this year then when the bearings are shot just replace the hubs with purple hopes.
The wheels on my downhill bike weigh less than 2.5kg

I think Hunt have sorted their sealing issues, I've got a pair of the trail wide wheels, and there isn't a speck of muck beyond the seals.
