Cheers for the comment. I really do like this current setup but I may just try see how it looks with the ITM cockpit.
Installed is not a 1R stem but an XA stem. A 1R would be lovely though. I did have one before but the inner friction part was broken and I didn't want to risk the handlebars slipping and so I returned the stem. Apparently it is common for that friction insert to brake.
Regarding the tubular rims, I think there is also an Open Pro tubular rim available in dark grey, which may be discontinued now.
I'm not really looking for a period correct ride, I just like the look of tan walled tyres on dark grey/black shallow rims :DThanks for the Team Kelme tip. My setup is very similar ;)
Lovely.
Don't change the 1R for anything, any other stem would be a downgrade. You mentioned elsewhere Mavic rims, Open Pro is a clincher rim, SSC Blue would be the ultimate tub rim, but no more period correct than the groupset. The De Vlaeminck frame is a Super Record and late 70s or very early 80s. I see no reason you would try to make this period correct, it is great as it is, if you did you should trawl old pictures of Kelme team bikes.
