They make a big deal about canal day being so hard and monotonous, "Canal Hell" it's called. But I reckon it might be a nice break after some pretty remote secions to have a more urban setting for a lot of the day. Plus I've done my fair share of canal/river path running in my time, haven't gotten bored of it yet, and the navigation should be easy at least!

After looking at the website for months I finally pulled the trigger and paid the deposit for Deadwater, now just have to wait and see if my application is accepeted :s
