If you’re in LA and depending on your job you can get away with a polo shirt for jeans casual and an oxford shirt for business casual. Maybe a light wool sweater or sports jacket if you have them? Dinner jacket would look wrong imo
This seems like it would be useful for you.

And a nice example of what I’d consider good business casual
This seems like the most appropriate thread in which to ask the following questions:
I've worked from home for a while, and my previous employer of 5 years was pretty relaxed about business attire, so I feel out of the loop as to what is appropriate.
Flying to LA tomorrow for work meetings, and have a dinner on Monday night that is classed as jeans casual, and meetings all day Tuesday classed as business casual. I stupidly left my only suit in my in-laws house in France after a wedding last year. I recently bought a backup suit that was slightly too long in the leg and sleeve, and having just collected from an alterations place have noticed the sleeve is a bit gunthered (which he can't fix today as his iron is broken), I'm trying to cobble things to wear out of what I have in the wardrobe....
Jeans casual - jeans, oxford shirt, suede boots?
Business casual - chinos, formal shirt, brogues?
I have a dinner jacket I can bring but it's a while since I've worn it so it might be a bit snug...
