Does it normally show up as a mass storage device? It's possible that it isn't being assigned a drive letter or something.
Right click on "This PC", select "Manage" and then select Storage->Disk Management and see if it is showing up there.
Also look under "Device Manager" and see if you have any devices with an exclamation mark next to them.

I am having issues with windows 10 picking up my mp3 player, have checked usb cable is working, tried different usb slots
