Well, day two in Kenya and the XH1 lost functionality of the D pad / menu ok button / back button / q button and AF selector.
Menu isn’t locked, replaced batteries, replaced SD cards, firmware is up to date. Really, really shit during such a trip.
Since I bought the XH1 with the grip, I could still manage to change some settings but all limited to the Q menu. Settings for video / tracking etc can’t be reached. I’m afraid it’ll have to be returned to Fuji as I literally just got it before I left.
The 100-400 is absolutely necessary during safari, I actually mostly used it together with the 1.4 extender.
Extremely happy I brought my XT2 as a back up. Otherwise I’d probably smashed the XH1 on the floor out of pure frustration. 🤓
