  • I have a couple questions and they might be some of those weird ones:

So my case has 2 USB ports at the front and they both work. One has the USB receiver for my mouse plugged in and the other one is free. When I plug in a USB stick, it reads my USB fine but my mouse would stop working...

When I plug in another USB receiver or a wired keyboard to the other USB port, both devices work perfectly fine.

    Any idea?

I wanted to move the USB receiver to the ports at the back, but for some strange reasons, the connection becomes really bad, but the distance is about the same. My tower sits on top of a set of drawers, the same height as my deak and the tower is about 1.5m away from my keyboard / mouse. Would it be because the ports at the back are facing a wall?

  • A 3m long USB extension cable could bring the receiver to the back of the desk. Closer and probably less shielding/noise to contend with.

  • Crikey you're not having much luck with this PC are you?!

A USB cable is a bodge that would annoy me. You said

It would seem there is a bug with the Bluetooth on Win 10

But there's not I'm afraid - at least there might be but I use Win 10 bluetooth with no problems as do many other people. I think the problem is the on board bluetooth on your motherboard.

Buy a USB v4 bluetooth adapter and disable your onboard bluetooth. They cost less than a tenner and the worst case is you'll know the bluetooth chip on your motherboard isn't the problem but I suspect it is. If it is and a USB adapter works fine you can connect a mouse via bluetooth...

  • Would it be because the ports at the back are facing a wall?

Very unlikely and any mouse should cope with that distance. What mouse is it?
