• I'm sorely tempted to pick up a little 182 for escaping out into the countryside every other weekend. At the moment, you can pick up a clean example for less than the price of a used Supersix.

Has anyone had experience with these little hatchbacks? Oh and will they be exempt from the 2021 ULEZ extention?

  • I've tested a few of those. They're a fucking riot, but I couldn't find one clean enough or that hasn't been ragged to shit. Undercarriage issues just glared out with every one I went to see.

They all seem to have been kept clean exterior wise only.
Last one I had a look at had a massive crack on the lower control arm. The guy didn't even what he was looking at.

Whilst they're great fun, they are very buzzy and crashy machines. Doing long distances on it will be marmite. You'll either hoon or get to your destination with a headache.

  • Love these to bits. Any hot hatch tbh. Renault 5 turbo, Lancia Delta Integrale, 205 gti - the list goes on.

  • I loved my 182 cup, bought new and ran for 7 years pretty much problem free.

Was a much tougher car than I ever expected it to be and it loved to rev.

Cam belt changes are expensive and the exhausts were poor quality so most were changed for 'boomy' sports exhausts.
