  • Has anyone tried the KFC burger? I'm unlikely to*, but still curious on whether it's good or not.

*my guess is that KFC kill more animals than any other fast food company on earth - would that be right?

  • I wouldn't go anywhere near the big fast food chains if they did a vegan version of anything... they don't give a shit about animal welfare, and you're right, KFC probably kill more than any company in the world. I've seen some vegan youtubers saying we need to support them so other companies follow suit... I say fuck them too... support the small vegan companies

  • I do generally agree with you but I do think there's an argument for people buying vegan food from big, horrible, objectively unethical companies. They're never going to go out of business because a small quantity of people are giving their money to exclusively vegan or otherwise ethical companies.
I can't see how KFC selling less chicken and more vegan stuff can be a bad thing and if it makes veganism more accessible and widely available can be anything but positive from an animal rights point of view (which is by far my main motivation for being vegan).
To be clear, I'm unlikely to try it myself and would much rather people supported small vegan businesses but functioning within the horrible system we have in place, if it helps reduce the over all consumption of animal products I'm not going to argue with it. Genuinely interested to hear any counterpoints!
