  • 460km done, just a short spin tomorrow to finish up, roads were almost dry in places today!

  • 484km done!
    16km to go

  • 505km done, nice to be off-road for the last bit...time to get a gravel bike

  • Pleasure to lead @Arvy. and Leo out to Kent

  • @amey - you missed a bit of cyclocross action just outside Birchington!
Up to 454kms, no time tomorrow but will go for a gentle spin on Tuesday to finish it off.

  • My commute tomorrow should take me to 496km.

I might have to go round the block a few times when I get home

  • so close! good luck :)

arvy told me about the section, its unavoidable unless you want to go on A299

  • And done on 514km

  • It was a pleasure to be blinded by your light.

367km give or take. Suspect I will get to 400+ but no more

As nobody has added to this, ninja edit:

Finished on 453k. (NYE at 1300). More than happy with that. I know what I could have done to get there and had some fun meeting old and new friends in the process

  • And that's a wrap with 500.8km. Of course the final ride today had to be wet and miserable.
Shout out to @Arvy. for dragging me around for 140km on Sunday 👊🏼

  • Done @515km. Being a sad sack I’ll prob add the extra few km from Brixton to Lambeth Bridge tonight to watch the fireworks. Now to the serious business of polishing off what’s left of the Xmas booze 😉

  • Finished, the challenge definitely helped get me out for longer rides. Felt a bit easier than last year too. Focussed on 3 x 110 mile rides rather than bits and pieces like last time. Worked well, but could imagine that snow or inclement weather would complicate the target as it is such a short window to get the km's in. Well done to everyone else who had a pop!

  • I've actually managed to do this without really aiming to this year, completely unrecorded though. First off was a 200km DIY audax route, the Bethlehem Mail. 100km of freezing cold rain up through the beacons to post Xmas cards and back down to Cardiff via Swansea. Just over 150km on the Stuart delivery app after work in the evenings, literally getting paid to train. And then another 200km DIY audax route on Saturday (Dr Fosters SS). It's been nice riding in December, but the weather has been a challenge. I was signed up for the FFF500 but decided it would actually kill me so I wimped out.

I'm terrible at recording my rides unless it's for audax points, this was the only one i managed the whole of December

  • So 2019 is the last year they'll be issuing stitched badges? I'm actually gutted about that :(

  • Local kid here in NYC knocked out the entire 500 inside Central Park over a period of 20 hours, consuming 38 SiS gels in the process.

  • All that silly macho stuff just isn't the spirit of the F500. It's about consistency not banging it all out in one horrific fucking ride.

  • Sounds like he has a bright future in ultracycling.

  • Didnt you do it on zwift?

  • I’ll be sure to have his RCC Membership rescinded immediately

  • It does say last year they'll be posting them worldwide. Hopefully they'll still do them for local pickup.

  • I accidentally clicked that link and now my Youtube algorithms gonna be fucked.

  • 500km in one ride, incredible! That's almost like doing a 600km audax except it's not as far!
