$100 is still pretty expensive for a strap!

Looks like that strap is a little narrow for the lugs, so make sure the width measurements are correct before ordering.
A nato strap can look good on a vintage OP. Or something like this: https://www.watchgecko.com/genuine-suede-simple-handmade-italian-leather-watch-strap

Yeah it is was just one I had in the watch box as the other broke. Was meant to be temporary...

I was just looking at these too. Were they Japan only? There are hints that a new version is coming in Jan.
I wondered if the ‘refurbs’ on eBay were legit; a new in box just went for £400 auction.

I think suede looks good on a vintage oyster/Datejust. I like these, especially the nubuck ones:

(You can order them without the racing-style holes.)

What are your initial thoughts on this? I am looking for a watch for work to wear in the 'field', would this stand up to a bit of harsh treatment? I keep seeing them advertised on my instagram feed. They look smart! Hope you are happy with it.
I was thinking about a Hamilton Khaki Field watch (Black/Grey colourway). But I havent really made my mind up.

They look nice but wary of suede as previous sued strap I had in another watch found the holes stretched. Thoughts?

I think he makes them quite thick, but that might be a valid concern, I think the nubuck is relatively soft. He will do them waxed/oiled as well if you prefer. I might treat myself to one at some point, will report back if I do. Website says a ten week wait though.

I am very happy with it. It's pretty slim, so less likely to get caught on stuff if using as an every day wearer. I also reckon it would develop a nice 'patina' if it did get the odd knock.

Discovered at the in-laws in Germany. Was given to my sister in law by her (now late) uncle years ago with no fanfare and left in a box. Turned out to be an early and relatively rare Seamaster soccer timer. Runs perfectly.

And it is now yours?

See, what I should have done is offer them a couple of hundred euros for it. They probably would have bitten my hand off. But nooooo, I had to google it in front of them and turn up a Chrono24 listing for one... asking $4,000.

Yeah, apparently only Japanese domestic market.
The sellers with the cheap ones seem to good to be true. Which in eBay terms means they are a knockoff.

I'd quite like to buy one of those.

Was that Rolex on a crafter blue strap ?
I got a green one for my green sumo , it needed a bit of adjustment to get the spring bars on , but it’s quality -

I’ll get back to you. Pretty sure they’d be up for selling. It needs a sympathetic service and a good clean though.
