  • Not quite what i ment. I mean fixed with swept bars or racks up front and with big fuck off rubber

  • This was fixed for a while this year... tyres aren’t massive, want to crimp the chain stays to fit 35 in.

  • I used to have a kona like that. There are photos of it on here somewhere. It was really nice to bomb around especially in snow and ice.

  • @laner has a sweet fixed tourer thing I think.
Mostly people are building tracklocross or fixed gravel or whatever name you want to give it though. There's a fat fixed cp thread atm too from @Skant

  • I'd venture that any terrain/ trips that warrant big fuck off rubber and racks is best not tackled fixed but chapeau if that's your bag. There was this, 1/2 ain't bad? Though I don't think front loading worked out great in that scenario.

  • My talbot didn't have clearance for big tyres, which is a shame as Ive turned to more off road touring these days.

  • Fixed off-road touring sounds like an exercise in torture to me, but I'm sure there is someone enjoying it. Obviously single speed works out well for some folks on the tour divide.

  • 650b?

  • Imagine trying to find 650b inner tubes in Bosnia

  • 26 go in 650b no?

  • what Amey said

  • Or tyres :p

  • 26 go in 650b no?

    And 7o0c.

  • Obviously the answer is to get a 26" wheeled bike.

    Rims brake too.

  • Maybe Marathon Plus with slime in it.

  • 36 holes wheels.

    36 holes wheels.

    Close! Big Apples. ;)

  • Marathon Pluses can fuck right off tho, insanely heavy bringing over 3kg on the bicycle already (26" 2.0 for reference)

  • Since we're on the subject. Is there any 26" superwide rims which are 36h and tubeless ready?

  • Marathon Pluses can fuck right off tho

Do wanna try them though, at 2.15". Weight is a lost cause with my bike anyway.

  • Always wanted to get the Surly ExtraTerrestrial in 29 2.5, but the price for one tyres is the same for two Marathon Mondial.

  • Since we're on the subject. Is there any 26" superwide rims which are 36h and tubeless ready?

    Bosnia tho.

  • These will be for Colombia and Ecuador

Was only taking about Bosnia as TM had some real trouble finding 700c tyres and inner tubes there

  • I mean I can lend you a fixed off-road tourer...
    ;)
