So didn't get round to pulling the trigger on the telly. Mainly just super busy with the young family plus other expenditures but now/still very much in the market. solo, max budget £500 (would rather much closer to 400 though)
    Choices seem to be:
55" Hisense ULED 55h7ubk (HDR 10+ Wide Colour Gammut??? Anyway should be a step up in terms of pic £399

    Hisense 65" 65b7300uk £419 Biiiig screen bargain?

    Edit: Now sold out

Also Hisense have 5 year warranties!!

    LG 55" 55UM7100PLB £339
LG 60" 60UM7100PLB £429 (is the extra 5" worth £90 when considering I could have an extra 10 with the Hisense for only £80 more?)

    LG 2 year warranties

Any other options that compare in terms of vfm?

To add, will mainly be streaming Netflix, Prime, Kodi - no gaming etc

    All the best

We’ve just got one of these a couple of weeks ago. It seams good, has Netflix and amazon access via buttons on the controller, all very easy to set up(if you can remember your passwords!)We’ve got our on the wall as our 20 month old has water damaged/ smashed 2 TVs in the last 6 weeks.

  • I haven't seen any in real life but I've read some poor reviews of HiSense TVs so I'd be wary of them.

In terms of the LGs they're normally decent. I'd also look at this Samsung

Personally I tend to ignore the smart features. They are generally outdated before the rest of the TV is and the interface is a bit clunky. I'd favour a Chromecast or Fire TV for twenty quid and view any built in stuff as a bonus.
