Christmas is here, so the commuter can be put out of service. Stripped the whole thing and put on a Ritchey 1 1/8" fork, Sram S900 cranks, a pair of Ryde Edge 22 on Formula SS hubs wit Vittoria Terreno Mix tubeless tyres and some Rival brakes and levers. Drilled a drain hole in the BB shell and chased the threads. Levers obviously need to go up and the bars down, but they were already taped so I'll wait until I have the missing bits.
