Had Little Earth Projects Hedgerow Blend last night, very enjoyable, picked up a few bottles from them in Norwich when I was down there at the weekend, including the raspberry, mint and cocoa nib sour to have over Christmas, sounds interesting enough for me to take a punt.

Loaded and Yellow Belly?
Loaded was from the Dodo pub and the Yellow Belly has come in different orders from Brewdog and eebria.
I think I still have some of the earlier brews of YB before they got the cease and desist which were probably from eebria.

I've got a 2015 yellow Belly, they taste exactly the same. Fuck knows what's in it.

I've been drinking one every now and then over the last few years, saving them. I gave a couple away too. They're still one of my favourite 'dessert' stouts. I had a 2015 YB Sundae (the barrel aged version) the other night which I definitely enjoyed and they seem to be still producing those so I think I might be saved.

I don't plan on ageing these two.

If you ever end up in Chester then the 'Cavern of the Curious Gnome' has shit loads of Belgian and Trappist beer.

Imagine a beer called Sweet Clove Ale. This is it.
Almost undrinkable, hoping the flavour softens as it warms but not much hope.
I'm surprised by the mostly +ve reviews on untappd.

Cloudwater has weird fanboys who would give the thumbs up to warm Carling as long it had the logo on the can.

Parkin Cake is the only beer of their's I've liked

They’ve done some great DDH pales too but then so has every other brewery.

Parkin Cake was amazing. This could've been close. Then they added Cloves.

It is slightly better at room temp / as the booze numbs the tastebuds.

As I'm still in Chester I went to The Cellar tonight. Good bar, good beers.
Had the Omnipolo Chocolate Vanilla Coconut Blackout Imperial Stout
£10 for a 1/3 mind you but worth it.
They also had the Cloudwater Fireflies at Gage Hill Homestead.
£1 change from a twenty for under a pint of beer for the two of them.

I'd take my chances with the drip tray at the end of the night I reckon.

Meh. That would cost £15 in London anyway.

Ploughing through the Weird Beard offerings last night.
Dirrty Hands - Imperial Schwarzbier 9.8%
Spicy, delicious and frighteningly drinkable for nearly 10%. Some mild coffee and rye notes.Born of Fire - Mixed fermentation Smoked Chili 6%
Sour, fiery and smokey, but pretty much the perfect balance of all three. Very very good. -

You heard of Magnum Opus?
Bourbon barrel-aged cinnamon, bacon, and poppy seed imperial stout.
Fucking disgusting.
Had this with noodles tonight at Pho in Westfield Stratford, very malty, decent
