  • The contents of the manifesto were ideas that if delivered would have been popular. As an entity the manifesto was not popular, this is evidenced by the election result. Probably due to the improbability of delivering it.

  • I spoke to loads of people on the doorstep and all my colleagues broadly like it although most think it was a little ambitious..

    For instance anyone who uses public transport outside London realises its an absolute shit show, prices increase and service gets worse yet people are forced into using it.

    From memory, but I'm pretty sure that the majority of the population favour nationalisation, 60-70% iirc.

    Also I'm pretty sure that the last thing I read showed the majority favoured increased spending on the armed forces, and didn't Labour commit to something like 2% of GDP?
