I made the T45 wishbone on Brommers bike #4 myself using some 1/2" T45 tubing from Proformance Metals and a cheapo 1/2" pipe bender from eBay. The top section of the wishbone was a random chainstay from Geoff Robert's stocks, flattened to 1/2" depth in a vice to give enough width for the mounting of the dynamo rear light. Brommers bike #5 won't have dynamo lighting, so I'll just use an offcut of the 1/2" T45 tubing for the upper part of the wishbone.

It's going to confuse any Dutch people who see the bike and wonder where the engine is.
Excuses, excuses. All you have to do is go 'vroom, vroom' and they'll understand it's you.

spendy though, if only because you have to order a fair amount. If your after small bits, try metals4u, either stainless if your welding, or the mild if it is for your personal bike. All my kids bikes stays are made of mild or 316 10mm from metals4u, as i cant bring myself to use the T45.

I ordered 3 1 metre lengths of T45 from them. Can't remember how much it cost, but I don't remember wincing. Not enough to be memorable anyway.

Brommers Bike #5 is underway:
Strike the pose...
Front triangle is done:
36-46mm tapered headtube for a tapered fork with external headset, 38mm Spirit downtube, T47 bottom bracket, 32mm Life external butted seat tube and a Max top tube fitted the 'wrong' way around.
Next, chainstays.

Picture of completed (nearly) rear triangle. Life cyclocross S-bend chainstays, Paragon Polydrop dropouts, T45 hombrewed monohoop seatstays.
Excellent! We'll both be laying them fillets then. If Geoff's ordering does go awry, I'll have a spare set of tubes ideal for a fillet-brazed frame.
