I was making a couple of stems on Friday afternoon so bashed on with making one for this at the same time.
Managed to get it brazed up, just need to finish and slot it

Can I ask what wall thickness of tubing you use for the 3 parts for one of these?
-

Sure: 35 x 1.5 bar clamp, 31.8 x 1.5 steerer clamp, 28.6 (or 31.8) x 0.8-1mm for the extension depending on rider weight, intended use etc

Playing around with rack building, always in situ to get a proper view on angles and proportions. The idea was for a minimalist rear rack to complement a small front rack, bag & saddle bag combo. Just big and sturdy enough to carry an isomat, ultralight tent or similar.

Brief for the paint on this was black...not boring black but richtig geil black.
The painters had this idea for a super cool effect where "chrome" paint is laid down, polished then painted over again with black. The black coat is then distressed through thinning, sanding and splatters so that the chrome comes through and it gives a really interesting deep, glassy, textured look.
I wanted the effect to centre around the BB, fading out to a more solid black with the logos again more extreme.
