• Yep. SON dynamo centrelock disc hub.

  • Thanks! It for-fucking-ever to build up.

  • So is this your transcontinental rig or something?

Three Peaks Bike Race rig. Starts in Vienna on Saturday...

  • This is outstanding! So well thought out with the routing and extra rear light mounts- hope it serves you well for the 3 Peaks

  • Fantastic bike. Lovely details on that frame!

  • Made it to Vienna.

  • Backwards?

    Radical.

  • Boringly I did it forwards. The backwards stance is purely for the photo.

It's behaved itself for 750km so far. Hoping to add another 180km to that over the rest of today.

  • Such a great road, though the tunnel does break the cadence of the descent. Bike looks fab!

  • It does. Especially when you get held at the lights on the entrance.

Anyway, Stelvio is history. Today's headline pass was Colle delle Finestre. Bikes still working nicely, and those hydro disc brakes are proper bostin.

  • This is just so cool!

  • Wonderful!

  • Well we finished. We didn't win, but we weren't last. 2275km and 24,968m of climbing. Now in Mallorca for some extended bike testing. Bike is still working well.

  • Is the dyno cable routed through the fork? If yes, what fork is it?

  • Yes, pictures on previous page.

  • Fifth Brommers Bike will be started shortly.

  • I might have missed this but where does the name 'brommers' come from? It's the Dutch word for mopeds. Great looking bikes btw!

  • I just discovered your thread this evening and spent a nice time reading it. Thanks, you're fun and talented - would love to ride with you. (from a guy who build a steel fixed Audax frame with supernova internal routing ;) ...)

  • From the drawing, that looks fairly 'normal', but knowing you I am sure there will be a few interesting 'ideas';)

  • It's a shortened version of my surname. A friend started using it, my other half started using it too, and it's sort of stuck. It's going to confuse any Dutch people who see the bike and wonder where the engine is.

  • Polydrop rear dropouts, tapered 36/46 headtube, 1/2" T45 hoop/wishbone/monostay like the last one, internal Di2 wiring. It's going to be pretty similar to the last one, TBH, but with gravelly clearances.

Wotchoo going to be making? Sticking with lugs? Upsetting Geoff with lots of stainless?

    ^Don't understand any of that!

I am going to try my hand at fillet brazing.

I think there may have been some misunderstanding between me and Geoff regarding tubesets, so I shall await with interest for January to come around.
