Well, the overarching narrative in this thread is that Brexit will be an awful crushing disaster whose effects will be borne by the working classes that voted for it. I'm very sceptical of this.
There's a high likelihood that there will be a mild and sustained period of economic negativity but how hard and how long this lasts for is still TBC as the UK's fortunes after a readjusment.
The LFGSS approved outlier of catastrophe is at best, chance, 50/50.

Possibly confusing that you are using "demise" to mean a catastrophic collapse, whereas I (and possibly others) understood it to mean any shrinkage of the economy. The odds of the latter are at least 50/50.
