It’s still a fuck ugly car though
The bonnet vents look like they’ve been nicked off an early 90s Chevrolet

Now is it a fugly car, always was and always will be or just a design car of its time?
Now I think the standard is pretty
Wondering if the konig is faster than the xjs-r (the 6.0 330bhp? special)

If you've been following Harry's Garage Espada engine rebuild, Iain now has his own channel

Half a mile is long enough for anything properly loose to fall off.

Sitting pretty

I do have a weakness for fiat 126s. Hence the panda 30 conversions and fitting twin choke solexs to them. Which was a waste of time...and petrol.

That's ok.
All Koenigs are fuck ugly, but they're great because of how ostentatious they are.
I won't link them all here, but just Google image search Koenig specials and bask in their glory.

Put some Premium 98 in the XV yesterday, I've done 225kms on quarter of a tank since then... Pretty impressive...

This!
Edit: To be honest this is fairly understated comparably.

Not just Fezza innit.

The cars above suit the ostentatiousness, they’re designed when that was at it peak.
The Jag was designed in 1974/5 and therefore in my mind looks like a dogs dinner (not helped with the brilliant white paintwork).

1000sel is a goldmine for stuff like that

Also. I fear not alone.
Gemballa.
Sbarro.
Etc

Yup, some of the others make Koenig look like the model of restraint

So that's two hours of my life that I won't get back...amazing.

One of the indicators has gone on my car. I just did a quick Google to check how to replace them, hoping it was "open bonnet, undo clip on the back of the lights..."
Instead:

FFS.

Yep. Same procedure for replacing the indicator and sidelight bulbs in the post-Bugeye Scooby. Dismantle front of car, remove entire headlamp unit, replace bulbs, replace headlamp unit, rebuild front end of car.

Replaced the xenon bulbs on my e91 3 series last month and the passenger side wheel arch liner had to come out to do it.
If i blow a bulb on the side of the road I'll be calling breakdown cover....

Removed the 12mm front and 15mm rear spacers on the car yesterday and had a full alignment this morning. Only the fronts were out, I think they felt a bit guilty about charging the full flat fee for alignment, so asked him to remove the ugly choad bit of the tow bar, which they didn't charge for. I'll take the bumper off and remove the rest of the tow bar when I get back from Ireland in January.
The rear wheels look a little lost in the arches now.

I've gone the opposite way, despite the internet saying I'm going to die fitted 15mm spacers on the front. Would prefer not to but £600 into new wheels/tyres that rub on full lock so thought I'd give them a go.

Old Gemballa was good. New Gemballa is horrific

Eg a guy I know bought this 993 Gemballa earlier this year and it's surprisingly tasteful
