Worst thing we're not going to see electoral laws updated to prevent this shite happening again

I had to point out to Dad that the 'photo of boy on floor is fake' was fake. The power of hearsay, when supported by 'photographic evidence', has been multiplied exponentially by social media.

I think it's important that Labour choose a new leader, who can be strong in opposition, and can take the media onslaught, but then switch them out for someone in the run-up to the election. A fresher, less tarnished face.

You all keep referring to Cummings but it was Issac Levido's name they were apparently chanting last night at Tory HQ when the exit polls came in, protege of Lynton Crosby
-

No - they need someone to run for a few years before an election. They can't present the public with someone new and expect them to vote for them.

Traditional media is by and large corrupt and morally bankrupt.
Just think of that Gif of Kuenssberg salivating over Boris as he tells more lies supplied by Cummings.
That's traditional media now. -

Haha... In the news there was an allegation of ballot box being tampered with in Paisley last night.
Turns out someone posted a shit into it.
Sends a message I suppose.

Oh, the other bunch.

Will we have the Russia election interference report now?

“Ironically the 2 people who brought me up with these values voted to leave and tory”.
This I see as a positive thing though. Whatever motivated their current vote we can hope that they will expect a general sense of morality overall..? I think (hope) that that stands for many people and despite my instincts telling me we are corrupted beyond repair it’s people like you and your parents who can hold government to ultimate account. Am I right in suspecting they’d be let down and swing the other way if Boris doesn’t deliver decently?

Labour's reputation on the economy
This reasoning is even more fucked than the Brexit / Corbyn reasoning.
Turkeys & Christmas through & through.

The power of hearsay, when supported by 'photographic evidence', has been multiplied exponentially by social media.
Rather on the platform provided by social media, by agencies that are leveraging and exploiting this aspect for their own / their clients' gain.
Labour / everyone not Tory, has apparently continued to fail to confront this, let alone embrace it.
That's a(nother) failure of leadership.

The only upside I can see is that the Tories will have to fully wear this shitshow for the next 5 years, no one else to blame
They will blame the EU for refusing to give us something.

It was probably counted as a tory vote

Would rep.

We've got a frothing libertarian brexiteering prick in our research group and it's christmas party day.

So what's the time frame then? What date do the Conservatives need to leave the EU before all who voted for them for that reason start to get angry?

They are already angry and will blame others. Nothing will be the fault of Johnson, ever.

Jan 31st will be the big headline day,
ceremonial coins/special edition Wetherspoons beermats/etc.
It will then slowly sink in that we are in a transition stage to at least end of 2020,
as nothing much changes, except the Home Office Hostile Environment'encourages'
EU and other foreign citizens that they have no long term future in the UK. -

People actually voted for the guy that (on camera) called his mate to pretend to not know him while canvasing. I didn't think my opinion of the general population of the UK could get any lower but they're trying hard.

Awaiting your post in here on Sunday:
And herein lies the problem. Most people take in the lies but aren't interested enough to delve that bit further into things to find the truth.
@sumo yeah agreed, they've been controlling all media for years, print for years, now social media obviously too, but they clearly have a strangle hold on the BBC too which (perhaps naively) only came to light to me during the recent campaign.
