Christ what a shitshow.
That the opposition couldn’t put a finger on the liability that is Johnson is all the evidence you need that Corbyn and Swinson were both shit. Fuck this ‘if it weren’t for the meedja’ shit, even if I agree with some of it - you play the cards you’re dealt. That’s why some of us think all this anti-Blairism has thrown the baby out with the bath water - if we want a left wing government in this country, it’s going to have to be one that appeals to be centre right, cause we’re so fucking skewed as a nation.
Or else we can be politically pure and complain about how in Europe it’s different, and be blocked out power for another decade.
Wake the fuck up, everyone.
PS - Oh, and inb4 ‘Chuka lost his seat’. I’m not saying that the current centrist trends are any good either. But there’s a huge chunk of the middle ground that is contested, and that the Tories seem to have made gains in.
