  • That's basically how people use the internet all the time, isn't it? Telling everyone who'll listen what they're about to do, what they're currently doing and what they just did. Why is it suddenly extra tiresome when it's about something important?

Are you seriously saying people shouldn't be enthusiastic about voting in case it comes across as virtue signalling or something? Fuck me, what a bunch of cynical old cunts you lot are!

  • Yodelling into an echo chamber when you’ve got a few hundred ‘friends’ while acting as though your plucky reminder will swing affect is at base level patronising. It just does seem pointlessly plucky yes. Soz for being an old cynic but it feels smug sometimes.

  • Guilty. It just strikes me as patronising too. I don't need reminding to go and vote. EDIT: @Wrongcog has it spot on.

Notice half the "go and vote!" posters of the last week are now ranting about how people are too thick to vote the way they wanted them to. Ever stop to wonder that patronising, insulting and dismissing people who don't share your political affiliations might have had something to do with the mess we're in now?

    Meh.
