For why? Having political views we don't like or agree with?
No, not for having political views we don't like.
For being racist and homophobic.
I'm not giving a pass just because it's in a politics thread, I wouldn't give it a pass in a philosophy thread either, and much to the chagrin of many I've not given it a pass in the football thread where everyone tries to defend it as part of the culture and tradition of the sport.
There are racists and homophobes who support other political parties, and I didn't even read anything specific that said that they were voting Conservative, only that they really didn't like Labour (but it wasn't clear to me whether that is Corbyn, national party, local party, etc).
I banned him for the racism and homophobia. Not for politics, and not even for trolling (I disagreed that they were a troll, that was less obvious to me).

I don't think he started out as one. I know people like him - they've spend all their time huffing on the conspiracy or alt-right crack pipes, have no idea what an actual intellectual debate looks like and have no grounding in factual information or reasonable discussion. He's probably ended up as one - he was enjoying the reactions so much.
I am a bit shocked by this.
Yes, he's a Tory, yes he's a brexit supporter.
But we just echo chambered him away? For why? Having political views we don't like or agree with?
Maybe I was so sucked in as to be blind to it, but I do not think it was an open an shut case that he was Mamnick, or that he was being more racist that being a right wing leaver demands.
I also didn't see any homophobic stuff, but may have missed it.
I don't want this place to ban people because they vote differently to me. I really don't.
And yeah, you can say that he is still trolling me from beyond the grave. But I just don't see it.
