  • Am guessing they're all non-returnable on grounds of hygiene.

  • Returns accepted and worldwide shipping as they are used!

  • Hello, PM incoming.

  • I can collect from @coventry_eagle (i need to collect something that has been delayed because of my laziness)

  • Very kind of you @amey
We will have our own fun working out how to see each other.

  • Are you running a rack?

  • No, but I can imagine larger wheels could impact that?

  • I've stuck my wax canvas roll top bag on the classifieds, it's lovely in a man baggy way, but not really big enough for my needs

  • My drivechain hurts... alfine or Rohloff hmmmm.

Also sorted my custom cable crimpers courtesy of a pair of worn park pliers

  • Whats the diff in trade price?

  • A lot...

Rrp is £220 alfine 8, £400 alfine 11, £1200 Rohloff. - I can use a OEM Rohloff meaning a good price but still a lot. Alfine 8 is the most popular option right now and just stretch a stock frame to 135mm

  • That’s what my drivetrain looks like after just 3 days of ‘dry’ commutes this week.

Also, you haz no shroud over your rear mech spring?

  • This is after 1 12 mile ride home, Mad.

Nah, I’m about to take it off to fit a modified set up as a research and design project for myself

  • any one fancy a used 6 speed black rear wheel or new (in packaging) 50t chainset in silver?

  • Who can name the things I see “wrong” with this bike...

  • £50

  • I'll name the things wrong Derek.

  • Can the threads on a gear indicator chain wear? Just lately, when I remove it from the hub (normally to remove the wheel for a good clean), once installed again and set, after a few gear changes I need to re-adjust it as the indicator chain has moved out a tad.

Hoping it’s the gear indicator and not the threads in the hub 😐

  • Ha. Brand new bike from the flagship store... looks poorly set up!

  • Ok i'll bite:
Photo one - Badly aligned brake pads to rim, signs that the mudguard flap poorly fitted.
Photo two - Brake pads again.
Photo three -Cables look far too tight.
Finally why not use black wheels and black crank set to match the brakes, black end on the outer cables. Maybe even a few black bolts on the brake pads too.

  • That whole rear cable routing/lengths is ghastly! Also:

    • Dynamo cable from headlight to rear light isn’t meant to go through the front hinge frame loop. Also the routing past the fork looks questionable.
    • Shouldn’t a new bike have curved brake pads?

I don’t know if it’s “wrong”, but the exposed red wire going to the rear light looks super shonky.

  • Brompton m2l making a ticking sound in the lower gear.
    Changes gear fine, any ideas?

  • Trim the grub screws on the shifter, bit like derailleur limit screws.

  • how old? where from?

probably not set up properly and the idler wheel is rubbing on the chain pusher. Just dial in the 2mm limit screws a wee bit, if you look from behind you can easily see whether its clearing - too far and the shifting wont work - if you want the best shifting, you need to stabilise the DR as stock it wobbles around..
