That sounds interesting - yeah, if you can find the sets, I'd like to have a listen.
Found this set by way of a clip of an unreleased version of Riders Ghost that Goldie dropped. My phone had run out of battery by then, and I thought I'd recorded it on my wife's phone, but it seems not. Anyway, it's also in this mix from another event, at around 45 mins: https://soundcloud.com/metalheadz/doc-scott-b2b-dj-randall-old-school-sun-bass-2016
While I'm at it, here's a couple of Ram-only mixes I done did:

Ha, yeah, mea culpa. I don't know why I put that on there really. Mainly just because I had it. Plus it was a bit of a guilty pleasure at the time.
Cheers for the mixes, will dig in.

Just been into Flashback in Angel and picked up this glaring hole in the collection:
-
• #256
how much did that set you back?
-
• #257
8 quid. Not bad compared to Discogs (once you factor postage), but some of their prices for other stuff was way off.

I sold a 50 of my dad's record collection of 170 at the Bethal Green store recently for about £500. I've still got a load to sell, so I might give their other branches a go.
One of the ones that I've got left is currently on sale for £215! Worst jazz record I've ever heard though.
/csb
£8 is very reasonable!
I used to know Tom Haste from roll da beats. he came and played at a couple of my mobile disco 'parties' back in the day. I guess you know him / of him too?

Very well! He DJ’d at my wedding! Great guy and wicked DJ.
I absolutely hate selling records. I’m always full of doubt. I was looking for a couple of bits the other day that I since realised I sold 🙄

Haven't heard this in a while. Promted a look on Discogs and discovered an excellent anecdote.

The Crane is one of the most devestaing amen tracks of all time. As
you would expect from source direct, hard, moody, cinematic, ultra
atmospheric intricate sounds overlaying complex beats. I remember a
recent interview with equinox when he said he was indulging in sexual
intercourse whilst listening to the old radio "1 in the jungle" show
and this track was premiered. In an attempt put this succinctly; he
stopped having sex and got up to listen to the radio! Either that says
just how bad this tune is, or just how poor equinox's sex life is, I
would be inclined to believe the former though!! He said his
girlfriend understood as she was a music lover too!! He went on to say
"women come and go, but your music is what keeps you sane, what you
play when they leave" Timeless classic from a very exciting time in
the development of the D&B scene -

I still treasure a mix that a mate's older brother gave me, and that
included loads of Metalheadz classics like Pulp Fiction, Unofficial
Ghost and - probably the tune above all else that made me want to get
into DJing - The Nocturnal by Peshay.I upped this mix, if anyone's remotely interested...

we must have had this early genre definer?

Stuff like this probably got dropped at Rage at Heaven last night. I wish I’d known sooner about that. Would have been insane.

Was playing this earlier off a vinyl comp with two tracks per side and had to really crank the bass. It really kicks. Nice little spacey track. https://youtu.be/SFrP5WptlZ8

Remember IDM? The insinuation that dance music wasn't intelligent in itself. Ha!
Ha! Yeah I know what you mean.
I had a load of Metalheadz Vs Bassdrive mixes from the WMC in 2009. I've just looked and the download link is broken, bit the Bailey set and Ink one with MC Tali at the beginning were both very decent. I'll keep hunting them out if you fancy a listen
