Until a night in Basildon Police station bar (they had a bar on the 5th floor for staff and for some reason me and a few mares, was dirt cheap) when I yaked up purple and haven't touched it since.
Depending on the year there's a good chance I was getting pissed on the top floor of the multi-storey opposite.

Thos would have been about 1999/2000.
I did my fair share of under age drinking in the same multi storey in the mid to late 90s.
There and Roundacre roundabout with the grungers.
Simpler times. Cheap cider and shit weed, all a young man could have asked for. -

Today's dark from the Brewdog fridge. Really fruity, tastes like dark chocolate raspberry. Would drink again.
Brewdog vs. fierce beer "neighborhood".

What is it?

I don't drink much at home,
but, on Saturday evening I noticed the local Waitrose had cans of a
limited edition Fullers' 'Lime Gose'.
It only occurred to me part way through drinking it that 'gose' could be a German variant on the Belgian 'gueze'. Just 4.0%, very light and worth trying. -
• #7732
Nah, gose isn't gueze it's more like a salty saison. My missus goes for gose.
Salty Kiss is pretty common option (https://www.magicrockbrewing.com/beer/salty-kiss/).
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gueuze
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gose(though reading this it does say that hundreds of years ago Gose was spontaneously fermented)

I didn't detect any special or pronounced saltiness in the 'Lime Gose',
and,
checking the can, the ingredients don't mention added salt. -
• #7734
Well the Thames isn't salty so if they're not adding salt then I'm not sure where they're going with their Gose label. Throw some table salt in for the proper effect :)
-

I've had a few recently which had no salt, bloody taking the piss. Is not a gose.

Picked up a couple in Waitrose last night:
Fuller's Lime Gose
Wiper and True Milkshake Milk Stout
Alechemy Bring Out The Imp (Imperial Stout)
Wild Beer Co Ninkasi (saison, apples, something)Will be consumed this weekend. High hopes for the stouts, unsure about the others.
Also have a few old Fullers Vintage in the cupboard I might break out soon.
2007 is the oldest, I think paired with a nice Partagas over Christmas might be a good idea -

Wild Beer Co Ninkasi
This is very nice. Good champagne substitute - I have a bottle in for Christmas.

Oh excellent, wasn't sure what to expect with this. Thanks for the heads up

I need to track down that Lime Gose for the grrl.
Wiper and True Milkshake Milk Stout
Preferred the bottle version to when I had it on draught. Missus liked it too.
Alechemy Bring Out The Imp (Imperial Stout)
It's got a cool name so it must be good :) BA or non BA version?

"Quite nice. Little tart. Doesn't seem 9%"
There's a Premiere Cru version and some other BA version:

Interesting comments about waves of good/bad. Makes my aging process totally fucked as I've only got one or two bottles of each. Guess I need to drink everything now...
"I’ve found that Westvleterens don’t age that well long term and they are very prone to the ‘one month good one month’ bad syndrome."

West Ealing Waitrose would be a good start.
Banging veggie pizza there as well
