• Shock absorbers / dampers - oil or gas?
    Hard to find a definitive answer.
    Use would be a standard road car, comfort and control obvious priorities, rather than heavy duty or performance.
    The context for this is that my runabout pug 306 has 270,000 Kay's on it and I'm pretty sure they're the original shocks and they've lost their suppleness. Rebound control is still fine, rear shocks are leaking though.

    So, gas or oil? OEM original units would be impossible to get.

  • Gas always IMO.

    You should be able to put Bilstein B4s on it which are OEM standard spec but just a really good quality unit
