I tend to rely on Country Life for my election coverage so I might be wrong but I've hardly seen sight of Diane Abbott. I'd hate to think she's been ASBOd like Rees-Mogg. Mark Francois, Graham Brady, the young idiot Kinnock, Hilary Benn, all the Brexit Titans, where have they all gone?
And while we are here, when was the last time anyone saw William Hague? -

when was the last time anyone saw William Hague?
Last thing I heard of him was a few days ago when he was casting doubts on Johnson's plans for a trade deal post Brexit. I assume the party have buried him because of it.

I must have missed that. Frankly, Country Life is not the go-to publication for election news it once was.

You speak for all of Sunderland do you?
Interestingly I've heard very different opinions from a lot of people I know in Sunderland.

I am not sure if sending money to a Lib Dem supporting tactical vote web site is the best thing you can do just now.
Voter turnout is likely to be critical so it is better to encourage people to vote tactically espcecially if you have friends, family, social media contacts in the critical seats https://tacticalvote.co.uk/key-seats/
Unless they are die-hard Tories. Then you should discourage them from voting, pointing out that their party has been taken over by the cheats and liars who will betray their interests.
If they are rabid Brexiteers then encourage the double vote as above. -

The Sunderland votes will be interesting and likely to be among the first declared. There are three moderate Labour Remain supporting MPs in an area that voted over 60% Leave. Since 2016 it is clear that May's promise to protect Nissan from Brexit was worthless. Sunderland will suffer more and sooner from getting Brexit done than most other parts of the country. Hopefully the Brexiteers who have been giving the local MPs a hard time are beginning to see some reality.

My girlfriend is a candidate for the Green Party in a local Labour safe seat, so I have the pleasure of going to the vote count on Thursday night.
Thank heavens there's a bar.

The Johnson thing does look very odd.
Surely he has the political media training to say something along the lines of "That's awful and that's why the Conservatives want to increase funding in the NHS which will be helped by Getting Brexit Done...soundbite....soundbite, etc."
He looks mentally broken. (I hope he fucks up in a myriad of similar ways in the next few days.)

You won't see him being interviewed again before the election

Will all those Tory enablers within the BBC to expect
'the Left' to rally round and support it after the last four years
of less then unbiassed coverage of the news? -

Which constituency? And aren't you meant to be sampling?

I'd rather not say which, but up in Yorkshire.
Yeah, probably, but not a huge amount to be gained from it though. Expecting a result in at around three AM, so got to stay until at least then. I've been two vote counts for council elections & those get a bit boring quite quickly. This will have an added stress factor.

Laura Kenssberg tweeted an hour ago that labour activists has been trucked in to the Leeds hospital Hancock was visiting, and punched his advisor.
It eventually gets picked up by pretty much every news source. Including the guardian who have an article up now (the guardian initially pointed to the tweet as the source of the report).
She's now posted a video of the punch acknowledging the advisor actually walked into the arm of one of very few protestors.

WTF is going on? Johnson has a bad day so the beeb rush out a made-up story about labour violence, then the Mail and Express both unquestioningly run stories on the assault that never happened.
anyone going canvassing? Wouldn’t mind meeting some forumengers. Went out to Thurrock yesterday, feels like it can really make a difference (labour until 2010, current tory majority 350 votes or so) but they need more people.
