Plan to take off my middleburn cranks from my ss on one inbred and try an mtb double/triple. Anyone running a 3x1 or 2x1 set up? May use a front mech, may not.

What would you use at the back for your chain tension, a spring loaded chain tensioner or a rear mech?

Spring loaded tensioner maybe . Bike has ss specific wheels. Gearing is perfect for off road riding, but would like the idea of being able to run a higher gear for the town/ to and from the dirt.
