  • how close/narrow can I get and how can I judge before drilling?

    I'd drill and attach one hook at a time. Hang the first bike, then hold the second one up to get an idea. And so on...

    Then gradually replace all the bikes and realise nothing fits anymore

    It's why I made mine adjustable. Only trouble is I've simply run out of room in the shed for any more bikes now :'(

    I am open to this with some sort of 'pipe' solution mounted on the ceiling .. trouble is, I have no idea what I am talking about when it comes to actual products.

  • Mine only really works by having the rear wheels on the ground. It means the hooks don't reed to bear much weight, and also stabilises them, or they'd be swinging about whenever I moved one
