Who was it?
A man selling badges with Robinson's face on it was doing a reasonable enough trade. Dozens of middle-aged men were chanting his name. -

Haven’t checked this thread for months so just saw this. Try changing your mouse and perhaps try a Wacom? I had some rsi issues years ago (at 25!) and switching between an apple mouse, trackpad and Wacom helps a lot.

I now have workwear trousers so heavy they need belt and braces to stay up.
Today I bought a Pendleton blanket and it gives me a sense of great contentment. Am I moving to old age?

I am so boring and predictable that if I leave my house on a Friday night my satnav automatically guides me to the curry house.

Sounds good. Just been for a curry with @Cycliste, after she'd flown in from Basel. Tortilla and charcuterie for breakfast. #golfclubthread

Ok this isn’t self loathing. I am a middle aged man and I fucking hate middle aged men. Always have. I hate The gammon, the fucking stupid wizened fuckers with Paul Weller hair, the pink faced cunts with heads like thumbs, the dreary entitlement, the “man cave”, the Did you see Joolz Holland? The £5k cervelo, the rotting stink that no amount of aftershave will cover, rugby shirts, the entitlement, the know it all, the crushing weight of a million defeats. The confidence in your argument when you are wrong wrong wrong...I love being a middle aged man though

Fantastic summary. When I was in my twenties I remember thinking what with all the excellent open minded people all around me there'd be no more grumpy entitled cunty middle aged men in 15-20 years. But I was of course very wrong. Were they always there but felt compelled to hide their true nature in their younger years, kind of like a UKIP voter/similar among a majority of socially dominant lefties? Or does the aging brain bring about these traits in certain genetically susceptible people?

Just chose Sandtex ‘ French Grey’ for the outside of my place. decided ‘Mid Stone’ was too middle aged and boring,

Spooky. I was looking at masonry paint just yesterday. One choice was called 'dark skies'.
So cheery. So end of the road.
While we are on the subject, sort of.
You know that type of cul-de-sac that is entirely regularly spaced bungalows, neat flower gardens and not a resident in sight for hours and hours?
Cemetery with windows, that is. -

And on the subject of those cul-de-sacs. Dead ends, indeed.

@Alf0nsense agreed - a month or so back there was some rumpus on one of the 90's rave pages (think it may have been Raindance group or something) on Facebook about a video showing XR people acting up and partying during the London protests, and in particular a bare chested gentleman doing some sort of jokey drunken Shamananic jig in front of a couple of the Police
Honestly, some of the comments were incredible - 'fucking crusty bastards' 'look at the state of these cunts' etc etc. A few people called commentators out, but mostly it was a total irony crash

It's a commonly know fact that the hair of the vigor-compromised ceases to grow from above and sprouts, instead, from various orifices but my experience is a little different. My nose hair is somewhat shy and mischevious and rather than show it's psuedo-pubic thick, black, lusciousness it would rather curl right round just out of sight and tickle my olfactory passages.
Suppose I should stop moaning and be thankful it doesn't grow between my bum cheeks.Yet.

Who doesn't like their bum cheeks tickled?

Probably sitting in a chair in a puddle of my own piss with very little understanding of my surroundings.
No change then.

Gen-X?

I don’t know what happens
I genuinely think you need to strike a balance between meeting your responsibilities while not forgetting what it’s like to be young.I think we have all watched those people who were free spirits as kids turn into basic fuckers in middle age.
Maybe they pulled their socks Too far up
