I often ride a bullitt that weighs significantly more than I do around (relatively) hilly Leeds very hungover. You'll be fine I reckon. Just spin away and make sure your gears are properly indexed so that if you end up out of the saddle with all your weight on the pedals they don't skip. That's a really a good way to mangle your knees.
In the words of great Marie Kondo; it sparks joy. Very few bikes i have loved when i rode them first time. Brompton was definitely one and the emonda. Cant remember any other bikes i have owned in the past or now made me as happy first time.
Its unbelievably efficient and intuitive. Its hardly a cargo bike when you ride it.
Alfine 8 was good choice, the gear ratio is perfect.
Next challenge; ride up hills loaded.
