• ^ Perfect, a picture of my disc for reference.

I need a recommendation for a new crackpipe / valve adaptor. See on that disc it's a bit tight. I've got a Topeak one and it's quite frankly shit. It has an internal valve which really hinders the flow and gives a terrible pressure reading, the stem is so smooth and skinny the pump head forces itself off at pressure so I have to put a bit of heatshrink onto it to make it grip properly, you lose a load of pressure when undoing it, I have to force it off the end of the valve. Today it unscrewed the valve core with itself and mangled it on the way out.

I seem to remember this was better than the original adapter I had - though I can't remember what that one was.

Talk to me about a better one! Zipp, BBB and HemeraPhit all look slimmer.

  • Though it makes for interesting pressure readings, my most successful disc/spok solution has remained one of those cloth-covered bendy strap adapter things, with a schrader-presta adapter when I can’t find the presta one. Not ideal but when pumping I can see the peak of the pressure gauge before it drops again.
